SB 457 Connecticut Senate · 2024 Regular Session

AN ACT CONCERNING THE RECONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF STATE LAND IN THE CITY OF MIDDLETOWN.

This bill directs the state to return a ten-acre parcel of land in Middletown to the Shiloh Baptist Community Development Corporation, which must then use the property for moderate-income housing and public recreational or community facilities. The land cannot be used for religious teaching or practices, and the transfer requires approval from the State Properties Review Board. If the organization fails to develop the housing and facilities by June 30, 2029, or if the project does not meet nondiscrimination requirements, the land will revert back to the state.
