Geographical Area Hazardous Air Pollution Rule
Summary
The bill requires the division of administration in the department of public health and environment to analyze data published by the United States environmental protection agency. The purpose of this analysis is to identify geographical areas in which hazardous air pollutants have the greatest negative effects on human health and then to propose a rule to the air quality control commission to address these areas. The commission will consider the rule at a hearing. The division will also create and publish a map showing areas where hazardous air pollutants have the greatest potential for causing chronic human health effects.
