SB 18-028 Colorado Senate · 2018 Regular Session

Motor Vehicle License Plate Mounting Requirements

Summary
Current law requires each license plate to be at the approximate center of a motor vehicle and at least 12 inches from the ground. The bill repeals this requirement for the front license plate and replaces it with a requirement that the front license plate be mounted horizontally on the front in the location designated by the manufacturer.
