TO ABOLISH AND TRANSFER THE ARKANSAS STATE LIBRARY AND THE STATE LIBRARY BOARD; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

Senate Bill 536 proposes to abolish the Arkansas State Library and the State Library Board. All authority, functions, records, contracts, personnel, and unexpended funds of both entities would be transferred to the Department of Education.
