mixed hoteling; signage; requirements

HB 2803 requires homeless service providers operating mixed housing (where homeless individuals share a building with regular hotel guests) to display specific warning signs at entrances, in the lobby, and on their website. These signs must state the building houses homeless individuals alongside the public, use a mandated red, 25-point font on white, and be at least 18x24 inches. The bill also mandates that guests receive a printed notice before check-in and can receive a full refund if they object to mixed hoteling. Additionally, it prohibits using state or local funds for mixed hoteling. The bill passed the Arizona legislature in May 2025 but was vetoed by the Governor on May 13, 2025, so it did not become law.
