What changed between versions
Added a requirement that only foster parents who have lived with a child for at least 18 months can request a hearing to oppose a proposed transfer, rather than all foster parents.
Added a requirement for the department to conduct a diligent search for adult family member placements when transferring children from one out-of-home placement to another.
Changed adoption approval rules for adult family members: children 6 or older require approval unless there is good cause against it, while children under 6 require approval unless they've lived with a foster family for 24 months and continued placement is in their best interests.
Changed the bill identifier from SB 88 to CSSB 88(HSS) and updated the committee reference from Health and Social Services to Finance.
