An Act relating to municipal and state procurement preferences for agricultural products harvested in the state and fisheries products harvested or processed in the state; and providing for an effective date.

HB 60 requires Alaskan municipalities and state agencies to prioritize purchasing in-state agricultural and fisheries products when they are competitively priced. Specifically, if an in-state product is no more than 7% above the price of a comparable out-of-state product, municipalities *must* buy it; for up to 15% above, they *may* choose it. This applies to all state-funded purchases by schools, cities, and state agencies for both farm and fish products harvested or processed within Alaska. The law takes effect on July 1, 2025.
