An Act establishing the office of entrepreneurship; relating to new businesses in the state; relating to reports concerning procurements by agencies; and relating to initial business license fees for new businesses in the state.

The bill was transferred from the House State Affairs Committee to the House Labor and Commerce Committee, with the offered date changed from March 12 to March 21, 2025. The bill's title was amended to add language about providing for an effective date. The most significant substantive change is that the Office of Entrepreneurship was moved from being created in the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development to simply being created in 'the department', which now includes a definition clarifying that 'department' refers to the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development. Additionally, the duties of the office were expanded to include actively seeking volunteers to assist in performance of duties, and the office may now receive facilities from the department if needed.
